This is a hard Maple bow that would make a perfect salad bowl, or other foods that are not liquid or hot. It has a very smooth finish with just a few little inclusions. The dimensions are 6.75 inches in diameter, and 3.5 inches tall

This bowl is food safe, and should be treated with food grade mineral oil, or a food safe finish of your choice every month, or every 3 months if seldom used. to treat the bowl apply a liberal amount of oil, and let the bowl sit for a minimum of 2 hours. 24 hours is best. After sitting, simply wipe off the excess oil, and the bowl is ready to use again. Hand wash with lukewarm water and dish soap, then hand dry. NEVER PUT THIS IN A DISHWASHER !!
